Paper Quilling Letter E

Try, try, and try again. Just so everyone understands – this is not exactly "easy". However, just like any quilling project, it's really quite amazing when you're done, so it's worth the effort. Just as Goldilocks critiqued, the first E's vertical strip on the left was too short, the next was too long, and the third seemed just right. The paper I used is Canson Mi-Teintes (160 gsm) cut to 1/4" width.  If you'd like to try quilling this letter, download my free PDF template ,  and give it a shot. I even filmed a  video  showing the entire process. I'm still new to filming videos, so if you like it, I hope you'll give it a thumbs up and leave a comment so I can keep improving. Thank you all for being a part of this learning process with me. All your encouraging blog comments, likes, shares, and follows feed energy back to me. Cecelia

DIY reflective Arm Bands

Especially when we are on the way with our bicycles we want to be seen by all road users when it's dark.  So I made this reflective arm bands for my granddaughter and me.  What you need:   webbing (I bought this neon webbing in a hardware store)   reflective heat transfer vinyl (HTV)  velcro  lighter  scissors  punch or electronic cutting machine (I used my Silhouette Cameo)   Gerade wenn wir im Dunkeln mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs sind, wollen wir von allen Verkehrsteilnehmern wahrgenommen werden. Also hab ich für meine Enkelin und mich diese reflektierenden Armbänder gemacht.  Was man braucht:   Gurtband (hab ich im Baumarkt gekauft)   reflektierende Bügelfolie (Flex)  Klettband  Feuerzeug  Schere  Stanzer oder Plotter (ich hab meinen Silhouette Cameo genommen)   Cut the webbing and seal the ends with the lighter.  Lenght for my granddaughter: 27 cm, for me: 40 cm Gurtband schneiden, und die Ende...

Since this week my granddaughter is a big sister!  So she want to make a welcome gift.  A T-Shirt for her and a onesie for her little brother.  She cannot write till now, that's why I made a stencil and she filled it with colors.  What we used:   T-Shirt & onesie  self adhesive stencil film  fabric paint pens  Seit dieser Woche ist meine Enkelin eine große Schwester! Was wir benutzt haben:   T-Shirt & Babybody  selbstklebende Schablonenfolie  Stoffmalstifte  These are the German words for big sister and little brother. Quilling Small Letter - Work in Progress

Hi all, I hope your summer has been as blazing as mine has been. This is a quick post to show you a glimpse of what I'm working on right now. This quilled letter E is about the size of a thumb tack. I started with a length of 3", 1/4" wide, cut from Canson Mi-Tientes paper, which is considerably thicker than standard quilling paper. I may need a new set of eyes when I'm done this new typographic poster. Stay tuned!
